Logo stickers for skate tricks

50-50
In a 50-50 grind the skater jumps with the skateboard and lands with both trucks connecting with a ledge, rail or other obstacle and slide or grind that obstacle. The idea behind this logo was to show the style and pride behind learning this trick. Since it is often one of the first tricks learned I went with a money theme as practice pays off. And knowing this grind pays of with learning other more difficult tricks.
Rock n Roll
A rock n roll is a more old school trick, mostly done on ramps. The skater will roll up one end of the ramp, let the front truck roll over the coping, and then roll back fakey (backwards). Since this is an older trick I gave it an 80s theme.

Kickflip
Kickflips are often the first stylized technical trick kids learn when they start skating. Even though it's a relatively simple trick it is one of the most sought-after tricks when you're beginning, so I wanted to make a stylized typographic logo. That exemplifies the simpleness and style of the trick.
Drop In
Dropping in is when the skateboard is placed at the top of a ramp and the skater leans forward and rolls down into the ramp. It is one of the scariest things you can do on a skateboard when you are first learning. In this logo I wanted to create a monster out of the ramp to express the fear of dropping in, and the joy of conquering it.
Hippie Jump
Rolling the skateboard under an obstacle while you jump over the obstacle and landing back on the board is called a Hippie Jump (although there are many names for it). It is so simple it is almost not a trick. And that is the logic behind this logo simplicity. Since the name Hippie Jump carries such a strong rhetoric I gave the logo a vintage look to represent the old school hippy style of a Jimmie Hendrix sticker.
Boardslide
Boardslides are another fundamental trick. Like the 50-50, it is one of the first tricks learned. When boardslides are done, they leave marks on the underside of the board. Sometimes, people will intentionally rub their boards on hard surfaces to make marks so other skaters think they are not “posers”. So the motivation for this logo is to show that these marks are like badges of courage, and that the skater earned them and didn't fake it.
Acid Drop
The acid drop is when the skater holds the board in their hands, jumps and puts the skateboard under their feet before they land. It always looks pretty bad ass and aggressive. So i made the logo a drop of acid that is also burning to show an aggressive pathos.
Half Cab
Steve Caballero is a pro skater who invented the Half Cab. A Half Cab is when you ride a skateboard fakey (backwards), then Ollie and turn 180 degrees.  It is a trick that can be stylized, and that is the reason for the decorative markings. It is also a very old school old standard trick. So I gave it an art Art Deco  feeling, similar to something you would see at an old fashioned diner.
Pop-Shuvit
Doing a Pop-Shuvit is relatively easy, and they always look best when done super clean. Even though they can be very stylish, they could still be called a tech trick. But most seem to think of it as a simple clean trick. A Pop-Shuvit is basically just hopping off the board a little and pushing it 180 degrees. Since it is simple and clean I used a Modern, New Typography style for a typographic logo.
Ollie
Ollies are almost always the first trick that is learned on a skateboard. And because of that they are often done when people are very young. When a kid lands their first Ollie, there is an amazing sense of pride, joy, accomplishment, and so on. So this logo was made to express all those feelings in a youth full way.
Caveman
A Caveman is similar to an Acid Drop, except that instead of just landing on the board you would land on the board while doing the trick. So cavemanning a 50-50 you would jump throw the board down so the trucks land on the ledge and complete the 50-50. The same can be done for any other applicable trick. Since the term “Caveman” is already descriptive, I just capitalized on that to produce the image of a caveman club.
Powerslide
A powerslide is when a skater is traveling at a high velocity and suddenly pivots the skateboard sideways to slide sideways on the wheels as opposed to rolling. Powerslides can be done as tricks but are most commonly done to slow down when bombing hills. In this logo I wanted to show more of a fun, precise logo, as a Powerslide can be both. I also wanted to illustrate the motion of a power slide.
